Growing up a wild free spirit, Violet had a hard time staying in one spot very long. Moving a lot as a child wasn’t enough… she started hitchhiking (with a few adventures but thankfully no mishaps) and eventually moved out on her own at 17. After being asked to dance at a seedy strip club at the age of 18, Violet learned about the darker side of society. Being exposed to this world not only made her stronger, but by hitting the exotic dancer circuit it fulfilled her longing for a gypsy lifestyle. In a new town every week, Violet loved to change her looks. She pulled her inspiration for her changing styles from the strange and bizarre to old school Glamour. The fashion and look of 30’s and 40’s era Hollywood Starlets were her favorite. She made this style her own by studying old movies and pouring over the goddesses of the silver screen and sewing her own costumes to show off on the stage. Her passion for this look gained her popularity at the clubs where she danced. She started developing routines and was eventually asked to perform on stages other than at strip clubs. The once shrinking violet had finally blossomed into a feature performer and burlesque beauty. After taking some time off from traveling, Violet finished college and moved to LA in the name of love. The warm weather and married life agreed with her but that Siren Song of the stage still called. While putting in a night at a GoGo club, Violet was “discovered” and the rest is history. |
